The sunset over Central Park with the skyline backdrop is stunning.  Join us for an after work picnic where you can sit back, relax and socialize with others in this beautiful setting.

What to expect:

• A few dozen easygoing members and friends gathering on the grassy area across from Tavern on the Green.
• Our staff members will be on hand ready to welcome you and introduce you to others in the group.
• We will have several ice breaker games with prizes plus a few fun things for you to participate in like lawn bowling, corn hole and more.
• As the sun sets you can sit back and relax, socialize and participate in the games.
• Bring your own food and beverages or pick something up from one the several nearby delis/restaurants on Columbus Avenue.  If bringing “adult” beverages you will need to be very discreet.
• Bring something to sit on such as blanket, folding chair or towel.
• Hang on the blankets, play games or walk over to Tavern for an adult beverage (unless they are closed for a private event).
• After the sun sets, you can head out or join the group at a local bar.

Cost: $15  ($10 for VIP members) goes for the staffing, games and prizes.  It also means that you are more likely to show up! The best time to arrive will be between 6:30pm-7:30pm for maximum socializing and games.

Illness Protocols/Refunds
In accordance with current city and state protocols vaccination status or masks are not mandatory for this event.  However, we do ask that participants act in a responsible manner and do not attend if feeling ill, showing symptoms or have been recently exposed to any of the current illnesses..  Mask wearing is optional unless the venue or city has mandated that.  Everyone should respect the comfort levels of others as we transition into this next phase of socializing.

This event is nonrefundable unless canceled.  If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment  that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor’s note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by NYSN.

What if it rains? If the weather is bad we will reschedule or cancel and send refunds.

Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.

Dress Code:  Be comfortable and casual.
