Escape the city and spend a crisp autumn day exploring the beauty of the Hudson Valley. This full-day adventure includes a scenic hike, a visit to charming local spots, lunch at the world-famous Culinary Institute of America, and a relaxing cider tasting.

🌳 What’s Included in the Day

Morning: Take the 7:55am Metro-North train to Poughkeepsie, or meet the group at the station at 9:57am. Dave will pick you up and drive the group to Mt. Rutsen Ferncliff Forest Fire Tower Loop for an easy, scenic 2-mile hike (difficulty 3–4 out of 10).

Midday: Explore an old-fashioned candy shop in Rhinebeck before heading to the Culinary Institute of America student cafeteria for lunch.

Afternoon: Walk the iconic Walkway Across the Hudson (1.2 miles, flat and easy).

Final Stop: Unwind with a crisp hard cider, local beer or wine at Red Maple Vineyard before heading back.

Return: Catch the 5:55pm train back to NYC at The Latest.
