Fall is one of the most beautiful times of year to explore Central Park! With colorful foliage, crisp autumn air, and some of New York City’s most fascinating history around every corner, this walking tour is a great way to experience the park while meeting new people.

Our tours are designed especially for people who live, work, and play in the New York area. Even if you’ve walked through Central Park dozens of times, chances are you’ve passed fascinating landmarks and hidden pieces of history without ever knowing their stories.

Join other NYSN members for a fun and social 90-minute walk as we uncover the history, stories, and secrets behind one of the world’s most famous parks.

What to Expect:

• Our group will have up to 30 participants.
• We will meet at Tavern on the Green and make our way through the park, finishing near West 81st Street. The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.
• Along the way, you’ll learn about Central Park’s fascinating history—from what existed here before the park was created to how it became the iconic destination it is today.
• We’ll visit some of the park’s most historically significant locations and share interesting stories, facts, and amazing vintage photos showing how the park has changed over the years.
• This is a social tour! Your host will help introduce members and keep the group interacting along the way.
• After the tour, you’re welcome to continue enjoying the park with other members or join the group at a nearby café or restaurant for food and drinks.

Cost: $25 General Members / $20 VIP Members

Can I come alone?
Absolutely! Most of our guests come on their own. It’s a fun and easy way to meet new people while exploring Central Park.

Dress Code:
Casual and comfortable. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.

Ages: 21+

What if the weather impacts the event?
We will make a decision approximately 24 hours before the tour if weather conditions may affect the event. You will be notified as soon as a decision is made.
