We are teaming up with Adventure Untamed for this event. For this adventure, they hike through the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge in New Jersey. This Refuge is home to “forest-dwelling and grassland birds, migrating waterfowl, wintering raptors, and endangered species.” Originally this area was known by Native Americans as “Twischsawkin,” the land where plums abound and has at least 3 Indian rock shelters. Because this is a point-to-point hike, there is no need to double-back. It’s only the Appalachian Trail, and it’s new places all day long.
