Join us for a great weekend out of the city at our Hudson Valley Getaway House! Spend 3 day the weekend on a beautiful 4 acre property socializing, relaxing and exploring with friends.  This weekend will feature BBQ’s, fun excursions and a visit to The Hooley on the Hudson Festival.  Your host for the weened is NYSN founder Dave Cervini. THIS WILL BE THE LAST WEEKEND AT THE HOUSE THIS YEAR.

What to Expect/Itinerary:

A laid back weekend of up to 6 mature NYSN members and friends gathering to explore and relax.

• You can take Metro-North to Poughkeepsie or drive to the property. Approx. 7pm arrival.  If you come  later you can UBER from Poughkeepsie train to the house (10 minutes).
• After you get settled into your rooms, the group will meet on the deck for a delicious dinner.
• Then conversations on the deck or around the fire pit under the stars.
• Saturday’s activities will include an easy hike and BBQ party at the house with yard games.
• Saturday evening dinner party  at the house then be back to the deck for relaxing, conversations or games (it’s up to you!).
• Sunday morning breakfast, then relaxing time
• Sunday afternoon we’ll head to the famous Hooley on the Hudson Festival in Kingston, NY
• After the Hooley we will stop by the NYSN campsite for swimming, kayaking and relaxing.
• Sunday Evening a pizza party and conversations back at the house.
• Monday morning continental breakfast and early check out at 10am.
• You will be brought to the train station for departure at 10:50am.

The House:

The house is a modern and clean chalet style house in a wooded area in Highland, NY.  It is in between Poughkeepsie, New Paltz and Kingston, NY.   A beautiful train ride from NYC or a 90 minute drive from Manhattan.  There are 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. A huge wraparound deck, a big fire pit, BBQ grill, meditation paths, a cool tree house games and plenty of room to unwind! Space is limited to 6 (plus Dave & additional host). How Do I Get There?

Most people will be taking the the 5:30pm Metro-North train to Poughkeepsie along the spectacular Hudson River for the group pick up at 7:09pm.   You may also drive.  Amtrak and Trailways bus also stop nearby.

If you wish to arrive between 5pm-7pm on Friday and not traveling with the group, you may need to provide your own transportation to the house.

Included:

• Transportation from Poughkeepsie train to and from the house and to all activities for the weekend.
• Gourmet dinner cooked to perfection Friday and Saturday. Entrees, sides, dessert, wine, (vegetarian options available). Pizza Party Sunday Eve
• BBQ Lunch Saturday
• Breakfast cooked to order on Saturday and Sunday morning (eggs, omelets, fruits, fresh muffins, grains, coffee, tea, juices) Monday continental breakfast.
• Snacks and beverages
• Activities at the house
• Linens and towels
• Host fees, cleaning, taxes and gratuities
• Wine will be served with dinner.

Accommodations/ Cost:

The shared room will be gender specific (unless traveling with a friend or partner).

Room 1:  2 twin beds w/ shared full bath $500 per person ($450 VIP Members)  ONLY FEMALE SPACE OPEN

Room 2: 1 Queen-size bed w/ shared full bath $600 /$550 VIP Members ($200 supplement to share bed with partner, significant other or friend)

Room 3: The Master Bedroom features a California King-size with an en-suite full private bath.  $700 per person  $650 VIP Members. ($200 supplement to share with a partner, significant other or friend).

The Loft: The loft features a huge, comfortable daybed and is located outside the primary suite. Shared full bath  $400 General Members $350 VIP members.

Just Added:  Due to popular demand we have added a trundle bed in the finished basement.  It is actually very private and you will share a full bath with the host.  $350.

Sorry NO pets

Not Included:  Train fare,  anything purchased along the way. Food at the festival, towels for water sports

Can I come alone?  Yes 99% will be on their own.

Ages 21+

Dress: Casual/Hiking shoes.  Dress for the weather.

What if it rains?   We will adjust our itinerary based on the weather to do more indoor activities at the house and local venues.

Illness Protocols/Refunds

This event is nonrefundable unless canceled.  If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment  that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor’s note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by NYSN.
