Opus 40 is a large environmental immersive sculpture in Saugerties, New York. — Architectural Digest calls it “One of the largest and most beguiling works of art on the entire continent.”  Join us for this immersive experience that took sculptor Harvey Fite 37  years to build.  The day will include time to explore part of the 63 acre site plus a visit to Woodstock, NY for lunch and a cupcake cake from Peace, Love & Cupcakes voted the best cupcake in the USA by The Food Network.   

How it works:

• Take the 7:50am Metro-North train from Grand Central (or other points north) to Poughkeepsie, NY.  You may also meet the group at the Poughkeepsie train station at 10:02am.
• The group will board our vehicle and take the trip to Saugerties, NY (approx 40 mins).
• You will have time to wander the paths, explore the sculpture and visit the museum.
• Following the experience, we will walk through historic Woodstock to explore shops and cafes, stopping for a bite at Tinker Tacos for lunch and Peace Love and Cupcakes for some sweets!

Cost: $130  General admission /  $120 Lifetime VIP members includes: round trip transportation to and from Poughkeepsie train station to all activities guide fee, Opus 40 admission. 2 Tacos ,1 soft drink and a cupcake.

Not included: Train fare

Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people.

Dress Code:  Dress for the weather we will be outside 85% of the time.

Ages: 21+  Most of our events attract those in their 30s & 40s although some events can skew younger or older (50s) depending on the event.

What if the weather impacts the event?  We will determine if the event will happen about 24 hours prior to the start.  You will be notified as soon as we know.

Illness Protocols/Refunds
In accordance with current city and state protocols vaccination status or masks are not mandatory for this event.  However, we do ask that participants act in a responsible manner and do not attend if feeling ill, showing symptoms or have been recently exposed to any of the current illnesses. Mask wearing is optional unless the venue or city has mandated that.  Everyone should respect the comfort levels of others as we transition into this next phase of socializing.

This event is nonrefundable unless canceled.  If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment  that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor’s note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by NYSN.
