Here’s a brand new way to explore and learn about the world’s most famous urban oasis while socializing and participating in our latest intriguing and fun Mystery Event & Scavenger Hunt.  Come alone or with friends, we’ll be teaming you up with other interesting people to help solve the mystery of what happened to Randy The Raccoon! There is no experience necessary.  This event is designed to be a fun and easy way to meet others and enjoy a day in the park. How it works:

-Sign up alone or with friends.  We will create teams of 4-6 based on the total number of registrations.

-Arrive at GETE Burgers for registration at 11:30am-Noon.

-Teams are sent out one by one and each given 120 minutes to find as many of the clues to help solve the mystery of what happened to Randy The Racoon.  You are racing against the clock (not other teams)

-When your time is up you will return to the GETE Burgers and hand in your clues and your thoughts on what happened.  The team with the most points and/or has the answer to the puzzle wins!

Cost: $20.00 ($10 for VIP Members) Includes the hunt only.  Food and drink are pay as you go.

Can I come alone?  Yes, if you come alone we will team you up with others who registered. Teams are also welcome.

What if it rains?  If it is raining enough to make it not fun then we will give you the opportunity to reschedule, use as a credit for another event or get a full refund. Otherwise non refundable.

Dress code:  Casual.  Dress for the weather

Timetable: Everything should be wrapped up by 3:30pm (unless you want to stay an socialize more)

The Story: Randy The Raccoon has called Central Park home for 2 years.  He is actually one of the nicer raccoons in the park.  He can often be seen hamming it up for the cameras from the many visitors to the park.  One weekend Park Ranger Patty notices that Randy has been missing from all his favorite places. It is up to you to help Patty try and find out what happened to Randy by reading the eyewitness accounts of park visitors and employees and retracing Randy’s paw-steps from that weekend to see if Randy has suffered an ill-fate!

Is This Complicated??  Not really, this is just a scavenger hunt with a story.  You’ll be guided through the clues and a very specific area of the park on the west side from 67th street to 85th street.

Is there a limit to the number on a team?  Yes, 6

How will I find the group?  We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or morning of.
