Join us for a beautiful Fall Day day out of the city and enjoy 4 things that the Hudson Valley is famous for; The Culinary Institute of America, Wine, Farm Stands, Apple Picking and The Walkway Over The Hudson Historic Park.Your day will begin with the beautiful ride up the Hudson River Train line on Metro North.  Your guide will pick you up in Poughkeepsie, NY to start you adventure!   Our first stop will be lunch at the Graduate Student run cafeteria “The Egg” at the Culinary Institute of America for the most amazing burgers, sandwiches, salads and grilled specials you will ever have overlooking the Hudson River. We’ll also take you through the main classroom area and see where the students learn their craft.  After your trip to the CIA you can walk off some more calories on The Walkway Across the Hudson Park.  This was an old train trestle that has been converted into a park 200 feet above the river (kinda like their version of The Highline)!    Once across your guide will bring you to the El Paso Winery for a flight of their home made wines.  After the Winery we’ll stop at an orchard/farm stand some local goodies and apple picking.

You will likely be back on the 5:54pm train to NYC at the latest.

Can I come alone? Yes, most of the people attending come on their own.  Our staff is great at introducing you to others at the event and keeping the conversations lively!

How much walking is there? The Walkway is 1.5 miles (all flat)

What to wear: comfortable walking shoes

What to bring:  bottled water

What is included? transportation to and from Poughkeepsie train to all attractions,  lunch at the CIA (entree and soft drink), wine samples, taxes and tips.

Not Included: Train fare (you may also drive to Poughkeepsie) any extra food you may purchase at the CIA.

What if it rains?  Refunds are only given if the trip is canceled due to rain.
