Sunset Salsa on the Hudson

Put on your dancing shoes and join us for an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, and great company! We’ll be meeting at Hudson River Pier 76 for a fun-filled night featuring a beginner-friendly dance lesson, open dancing, and spectacular sunset views over the Hudson River.

Whether you’ve never danced before or you’ve been dancing for years, you’ll enjoy learning new moves on one of New York City’s largest outdoor dance floors while taking in the beautiful waterfront atmosphere.

How It Works

• Meet your NYSN host at Pier 76, where you’ll be welcomed and introduced to the rest of our group.
• We’ll play a fun icebreaker game while we wait for the dance lesson to begin.
• Our small group will participate in the larger public dance event, which typically attracts 200+ dancers.
• Enjoy a beginner-friendly dance lesson led by professional instructors.
• After the lesson, stay and dance as long as you’d like during the open dance session.
• Food and beverages are available for purchase throughout the evening.
• After dancing, anyone interested is welcome to join the group at a nearby café or bar to continue the fun and conversation.

Absolutely! About 98% of our attendees come on their own, making this a great event for meeting new people.

Dress Code

Summer casual or come as you are after work. Wear comfortable shoes if you plan to dance.

If rain is expected, we’ll send updates before the event. If the event is canceled due to weather, you may choose either a credit toward a future event or a full refund.
