Experience Central Park in a whole new way with our Adults Only Central Park Great Pumpkin Scavenger & History Hunt!  It is a fun way to meet new people or hang out with familiar friends in NYC’s urban oasis! If you don’t have a team we will set you up on one as you set out to find fun and historical things that are already part of the park.  You will also be looking for the hidden mini pumpkins along the way! Following the hunt you can join members of the hunt for a bite to eat at a local pub or restaurant.

COVID-19 Protocols: Mixed Group

• This event is open to vaccinated and non vaccinated members.
• We will take temperatures upon arrival
• If you think you have been exposed or have recently tested positive please do not come.
• If there is a mix of vaccinated and non vaccinated participants we will ask that masks are worn while in close proximity to others if indoors or in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the venue or location of the event.

How it works:

-Come alone or with friends and meet at Tavern on the Green at 11:00 am.  We will set up the teams (teams of 5 only). If you have a team let us know.

-Each team will have 2 hours to find as many clues at they can inside the park. Clues will be in historical markers, wildlife, street performers, tourists, fountains, statues, bridges and hidden secrets.

-There will also be over 100 mini pumpkins hidden along the way in bushes, behind benches, under statues and in the Ramble.  Each pumpkin will be worth extra points for the teams that find them.

-At the end of the 2 hours the group will meet near the end point (85th Street /Central Park West) to see which group has uncovered the most clues to win prizes!

Cost $25 ($10 for NYSN VIP Members)

Dress code: Dress for the weather (rain or shine).

Is this going to be hard or do I need experience?  No, this is a fun hunt designed to make the clues easy to find.

What if it rains? We will send updates before the event but be prepared for rain.

Can I come alone?  Yes, 98% of those attending this event will likely register on their own. You are welcome to bring as many nonmember guests, friends & coworkers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests.

Do I need a ticket? If this is a free event, no. For paid events: Unless otherwise instructed, if you registered and paid for this event or registered with a voucher your name will be on a list at the door.  If you register within 3 hours of the event it is best to bring proof of payment.   If registering with a voucher follow the instruction on the voucher.

How will I find the group?  We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register for the event and send follow up emails as we get closer.

Ages: 21+  Most of our events attract the 20s – 40s age range although some events can skew younger or older (50s) depending on the event.
