8:45 pm - 4:45 am
The Culinary Institute of America is the world’s premier culinary institute in Hyde Park, NY. Enjoy a day out of the city with other members of the group as we grab lunch at the exclusive Student Cafeteria overlooking the Hudson River then walk off the calories on a tour of the FDR Mansion and Presidential Library plus visit a local winery.
How it works:
- Take the 8:45am Metro-North train from Grand Central or points north to Poughkeepsie, NY (65 miles north of NYC). You may also drive to meet the group at the train station.
- Your guide will pick you up and bring you to the FDR Mansion for a tour of the house and a visit to the museum.
- Following the FDR experience we will enjoy lunch at the Culinary Institute of America’s student cafeteria The Egg.
- After the Egg we will go for a wine tasting at a local winery then head back to the train.
****please note that this is the student cafeteria called “The Egg” there is never a set menu as many of the dishes are part of the culinary experience that the students are creating on a never ending basis. There are usually 4-5 things to choose from. Most of the selections are NOT vegetarian friendly***
