Sunset Picnic & Social at Riverside Park

There’s nothing quite like watching the sun set over the Hudson River from Riverside Park. Still in town this holiday weekend?  Join us for a relaxing evening of great conversation, lawn games, and beautiful views—just a short two-block walk from the 79th Street subway station.

What to Expect

• Meet a friendly group of easygoing members and guests gathering on the lawn next to the former 79th Street Boat Basin Café.
• Our hosts will be there to welcome you and introduce you to others, making it easy to meet new people.
• Icebreaker games with fun prizes.
• Casual activities including Frisbee, cup stacking races, water balloon tosses, card games, and more.
• Spectacular sunset views over the Hudson River.
• Bring your own food and drinks. If you choose to bring alcoholic beverages, please be discreet. Pro Tip: There are plenty of restaurants, delis, and takeout spots near the 79th Street & Broadway subway station if you’d like to pick something up on your way.
• For the best opportunity to socialize and participate in games, we recommend arriving between 5:30-6PM
• Don’t forget to bring something comfortable to sit on, such as a blanket, beach towel, or folding chair.

Cost

$15 per person ($10 for VIP Members)

Your admission helps cover event staffing, games, and prizes—and encourages everyone who RSVPs to attend.

Getting There

Take the #1 subway to 79th Street & Broadway. From there, it’s approximately a 2-minute walk to Riverside Park and the picnic area.

Weather Policy

If weather conditions are unfavorable, the event will be canceled or rescheduled. All registered guests will receive a full refund if the event is canceled.

• Recommended Age: 27+
• Coming Alone? Absolutely! Most attendees come by themselves, making this one of our best events for meeting new people.
• Dress Code: Casual and comfortable.
