Lawn bowling or, bocce ball, can be traced back to the 13th century, but it still holds up today. It is a fun and easy game to play for amusement, socializing and a little competition.  We’ll teach you all you need to know and get to playing several rounds right away.  Space is limited to 8 people.  Following the games, the group will sit and enjoy socializing in the park.

What is lawn bowling?  Also known as bocce ball, lawn bowling is a sport in which the objective is to roll small balls so that they stop close to a smaller ball called a “jack” or “kitty.”  The team with the most large balls closest to the smaller balls wins!

What to expect:

  • The group will meet on the benches next to the main entrance to Tavern on the Green.
  • We will walk over to our play area.
  • After a short introduction we will play several sets for about 90 minutes

What to bring:

  • Bottled water and a snack for after bocce ball.  Be prepared to sit on the grass unless you want to bring a blanket.

Cost:  $25 general members/ $20 VIP members.

Includes: lawn bowling, host fee, equipment
