This will be our 15th year bringing groups to The Lodge at Mt Snow and this year we have teamed up with other exciting NYC Activities/Meet Up Groups so that we will take over almost the entire hotel!  We have 56 spaces reserved this year!

Each day we will have a full list of activities planned that include Skiing, boarding, group lessons, snow showing, hiking, snow tubing, trips to town, ice skating and more!  You can do as much or as little as you would like.    It is a great way to meet others in the group and enjoy a weekend out of the city.

Travel

• Depart Upper West Side 6pm Friday evening from Happy Hour Bar. We have a 56 passenger luxury bus. (The Party Bus)
• Arrive Mt Snow between 11pm-12am.
• We depart back for NYC at 2pm on Monday and arrive UWS around 7:30-8pm.

Who is going?

• 56 NYSN members and friends
• 85% of those attending do not know each other. Others may recognize each other from other events.
• If you come alone we will pair you with someone who should be compatible. (age, ski/non ski, ski ability, late nighter, early riser, etc)
• Most of the group will be 30’s and 40’s.  There will be a few 20’s and some 50’s.
• 25% of those attending have never skied before.  Those not skiing either take lessons as a group or do other activities at the mountain. It is $70 less if you are not skiing. ($550)
• Most of the group are recreational skiers (with a few hard core).  You will find people with your ability easily.
• This is not a “singles” trip however most of the people will be single.  Couples are welcome and will not feel out of place. Approx 45% male / 55% female.

The Mountain

• Mt Snow is the closest large ski resort to NYC.  It features dozens of trails, high speed chair lifts, great bars, ski rentals, lessons, food and more.
• They have one of the most sophisticated snow making systems in the country.
• The entire mountain will be open by our weekend.

The Hotel

• We have been going to The Lodge at Mt Snow for 14 years.  You can walk to the mountain from there but there is a free shuttle.
• We take over most of the hotel with our group.
• The accommodations are basic. About the same level as a Best Western/Motel 6.  The rooms are clean, the staff is nice and the food is excellent. Realistically, it is what you should expect for the price and proximity to the mountain.  It is not luxurious but you will hardly be in your room and the lounge area is awesome!
• Hot tub, full gym, restaurant and a lounge area with a big fireplace that is always going, billiards, games, comfy couches, a long bar and amazing views of the mountain.

Equipment

• You can bring your own or rent at the mountain.  If you reserve in time they will deliver to the hotel. Rental info here: https://www.mountsnow.com/ski-ride/equipment-rentals/.  If you wish to get the NYSN group rental rate for ski’s /boards ($62) you will need to rent from the Sundance Lodge rental desk. (no reservations needed you just need to be there by 9:15am)

The Vibe

This is a great trip. Everyone is always friendly. We have lot’s of things to do if you are skiing or not skiing during the day and the full group comes together and the end of the day and into the night.  Some people to to party a bit and others are more laid back but with that many people you will find you niche.

You can party hearty or just relax all weekend (or something in between)

Cost

$620 – general members $600  VIP members: shared room, 2 days lift passes, dinner (Sat/Sun), breakfast (Sat/Sun/Mon), apre ski parties, 3 nights lodging, taxes, host fees, round trip transportation.

$550 if you are not skiing

Saturday

Breakfast 7-10am.

8:15am: People taking lessons meet in lobby. Shuttle to mountain leaves from in front of Snow Lake Lodge.

9am: If you wish to ski with the group meet in hotel lobby at 9am.  Shuttle to mountain leaves from in front of Snow Lake Lodge.

9:30am: Snow Shoe Group meet in main lobby.

1pm:  Non Skiers meet in lobby for shuttle to town for lunch.

1pm: Skiers meet for lunch in front of Cuzzins in base lodge (optional). A second group will meet at summit lodge  ( optional )

4pm: meet for drinks at The Station Tap Room on the 2^nd floor of the base lodge for drinks.

5:30pm: meet at hotel lounge/bar for apre ski party

7:30pm: Dinner

9:pm:  Meet in lounge/bar to walk over to Snow Bar Night Club

Sunday

Breakfast 7-10am.

9am: If you wish to ski with the group meet in hotel lobby  at 9am.  Shuttle to mountain leaves from in front of Snow Lake Lodge.

10am: Snow Tubing Group meet in hotel lobby at 10am

1pm:  Non Skiers meet in lobby for shuttle to town for lunch.

2pm: Cross Country Ski Group Meet in Lobby.

1pm: meet for lunch in front of Cuzzin in base lodge. A second group will meet at summit lodge  ( optional )

4pm: meet at The Station Tap room on the 2^nd floor of the base lodge for drinks

5:30pm apre ski at hotel lounge/bar

7:30pm: dinner

9pm:  1. meet in lounge /bar for walk over to club

            2. Meet in lounge bar for karaoke, games, movie

Monday

Breakfast 7-10am.
