Spend a crisp Fall day out of the city and explore the beautiful Hudson Valley with the beautiful blazing foliage! With a little rain in the forecast we have 2 itineraries planned just in case. (See below).  Just think of it this way, A rainy day in the dreary city or a rainy day with fresh air, amazing food and stunning views with a fun group of people upstate!!

NO RAIN ITINERARY

• Lunch at The Culinary Institute of America’s Award Winning student cafeteria “The Egg”.
• An easy/moderate 3 mile hike with stunning views
• A trip to a local farm stand and orchard for fresh veggies and hard cider samples.  The orchards have pavilions and indoor spaces.

IF RAINY

• Lunch at The Culinary Institute of America’s Award Winning student cafeteria “The Egg”.
• Visit The Vanderbilt Mansion for a guided tour.  The last of the gilded age mansions in the USA.
• A trip to a local farm stand and orchard for fresh veggies and hard cider samples.  The orchards have pavilions and indoor spaces.

We will let you know the night before which itinerary we will be doing.

Cost:

$130 General admission /$120 Lifetime VIP Members

Included: Transportation to and from Poughkeepsie and to all attractions, hike & guide fees. Lunch at the Egg Cafeteria at The Culinary Institute of America.  1 entree and side dish and beverage, Hard Cider samples

Not included: Since not everyone will be taking the train, train fare is not included. anything purchased along the way.

Can I come alone? Yes, most guests do! It’s a great way to meet new people. Space is limited to 7.

Dress Code:  Dress for the weather.  Hiking shoes strongly recommended. Sneakers are okay, too. Poncho or umbrella if raining

What if it rains? Depending on the severity of the rain we will decide the itinerary the night before.  We may choose some indoor events or you can use the fee as a credit for another event or get a refund.

This event is nonrefundable unless canceled.  If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment  that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor’s note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by NYSN.
